Since 2021, AAMI has partnered with Vision Australia to present the annual Carols by Candlelight celebration at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. To build awareness for the 2024 event, a multi-platform campaign was directed by the team at Ogilvy Melbourne and produced by Hogarth.
The campaign consisted of three stages—the awareness, presale and on-sale periods in the lead up to Carols by Candlelight on Christmas Eve—with unique messaging for each. Across the campaign rollout, I was responsible for the design and finished art of over one hundred out of home assets, a specialised braille tactile billboard, Spotify takeovers, social posts as well as printed collateral and branded signage for the event itself.
Key considerations for the campaign were the positioning and legibility of the co-branded logo lockup and achieving consistency with the AAMI Christmas campaign which was running concurrently. This was achieved by applying dynamic templating to the assets within Figma for digital exports as utilising the same Christmas variant of the classic 'AAMI Woman' for static assets and video end frames, all while complying with the AAMI brand guidelines. The braille signage also required adherence to legal requirements on positioning and measurements for tactile elements which encouraged more in-depth collaboration with the team at Vision Australia.

In its first foray into the Christmas campaign market, AAMI wanted to portray a lighthearted but relevant message to remind viewers that during the chaotic holiday season, no matter the situation, AAMI was ready and willing to help with insurance needs.
To support the primary TVC, the campaign rollout included nationwide static and animated digital out of home, large format print billboards including a 2D extension and LED lit specialised build, digital display and social content along with cutdowns for cinema and video platforms.
In addition to the design and production of finished art for the campaign, I also worked closely with the team at Ogilvy to best adapt the key visual for a large variety of asset layouts to ensure visual elements were not conflicting with the detail heavy background for legibility purposes. I also assisted with quality control for offshore production of HTML assets to guarentee the campaign had a consistent look and feel.
